WINTER ACTIVITIES
WINDHAM MOUNTAIN RESORT
Windham Mountain is a family -friendly resort featuring 54 trails on 285 skiable acres and six terrain parks. Windham Mountain's Snow Sports School offers a variety of instruction for children and adults. The Mountain Adventure Park provides off-hill adventure including snow tubing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
HUNTER MOUNTAIN RESORT
Known as the "snowmaking capital of the world", Hunter makes snow on 100% of the mountain's 240 skiable acres across 58 trails. There are three separate mountains offering a wide range of terrain for riders of all levels. Hunter also has a snow sports program offering lessons, clinics, competition teams and more.
BEARPEN MOUNTAIN SPORTS
Bearpen is a winter sports park 15 minutes away from Windham Mountain Resort that features snow tubing, sledding, snowshoeing, fat tire biking and ice skating. Rentals are provided for all activities.

THE WINDHAM SPA
Enjoy some rest and relaxation at the local, top rated spa just minutes from the lodge. The Windham Spa offers massages, manicures/pedicures, and facials.
WINTER HIKING
So long as you're prepared, winter hiking can offer spectacular views in the Catskills. Check out Artist's Rock, accessible from the North-South Lake State Campground in Haines Falls, the Mountain Top Arboretum in Tannersville and Acra Point/Batavia Kill Loop.
SpRING/SUMMER/FALL ACTIVITIES
NEW YORK ZIPLINE ADVENTURE TOURS
This is the highest, fastest and longest zipline canopy in North America and the second largest zipline in the world. It is available year round.
WINDHAM COUNTRY CLUB (GOLFING)
Located on Windham Mountain, this is an 18 hole, par 72, 6333 yard long public golf course.
ZOOM FLUME WATER PARK
Generally open from the end of June through Labor Day, Zoom Flume Water Park features eight slide rides for the whole family and five play areas including wave pools and lazy rivers.
KAATERSKILL FALLS
Kaaterskill Falls is a very popular hiking destination and home to the the highest cascading waterfall in New York State. It was considered by Native Americans to be the resting place of the creator - a sacred place for the Mohican people. The hike is 1.4 miles roundtrip.
PRATT ROCK
Often referred to as New York's Mount Rushmore, Pratt Rock can be accessed by hiking the short 3.1-mile-round-trip off Route 23E. Perfect for beginners!
HULL-O FARMS
This is a perfect family day trip - tour a working farm (45 minutes-1 hour) and see cows, calves, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, kittens, ducks, bunnies and dear. Learn how to take care of the farm - milk cows, gather fresh eggs and feed baby animals!
CD LANE PARK
This local park is great for enjoying the outdoors. It has a children’s playground, basketball court, small beach, kayaking, fishing, hiking and walking trails and more. In the winter, you may see families sledding on the giant hills!
VIDBEL MOUNTAIN HOMESTEAD
Visiting this five generation farm is a wonderful family activity. There is a full petting farm and pony rides offered. There are even private horse lessons for children!
MORE HIKING SPOTS
For a casual and easy hike, we recommend the Windham Path. You can also try the Escarpment Trail, Windham High Peak, Burnt Knob, and Acra Point.
WATER ACTIVITIES
In addition to CD Lane Park, you can also kayak and paddleboard at the North-South Lake Campground. For more adventurous water activities, you can also try Batavia Kill River.
NEARBY TOWNS TO VISIT
We recommend visiting nearby Tannersville and Catskill. If you’re willing to drive further, we recommend Saugerties, Woodstock and Phoenicia for a quintessential Catskills experience!
