A few things to remember…

QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS

If you have any questions or concerns during your stay, please reach out to us anytime via text, phone or e-mail. The fastest way to reach us is to message us through the platform on which you booked (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.). Our phone numbers are (727) 776-1436 (Jason) and (516) 779-1818 (Stephanie) and our email is hello@adoreaway.com.

NO PETS, PLEASE

This is a pet-free lodge. Although we are animal lovers, due to severe allergies of some of our guests, this is a strict policy.

NO SMOKING INDOORS

If you smoke outside, please dispose of any trash properly.

FRONT-DOOR KEY PAD

n lieu of keys, you will enter and depart the home through the front door using a key pad. You can use your unique 4-digit code given to you to enter the home during your stay. When leaving the house, press the lock button on the keypad (the bottom right button) to lock the door as it does not automatically lock behind you.

DOORS AND WINDOWS

Please remember to close all access doors and shut all windows when entering and leaving the Lodge. This is both for safety purposes but also to keep the home as insect-free as possible.

STAIRCASES

This is a 3-story lodge with 3 sets of staircases. Please hold onto the railings at all times when going up and down. Your safety is of utmost importance.

FOOD OUTSIDE

Please do not leave any food outside after a meal. There are animals in the area with keen senses of smell and hearty appetites!

SUPPLIES

Please feel free to use all of the items available to you during your stay but refrain from taking them so other guests can enjoy them. If you like any of the things we use in our home, please reach out and we'd be happy to let you know where you can get them for yourself!

SHOES

We would be deeply appreciative if you would take off your shoes when entering the Lodge. The outside elements being brought in can easily damage the flooring. For your convenience, in the entry foyer of the Lodge, we have provided a bench, a boot warmer and shoe trays to store your shoes.

HEATING / COOLING

The Lodge is heated by electric baseboards throughout. There is a Nest digital thermostat located on the main level that controls the baseboards in the living room area. For the other rooms in the Lodge, use the Honeywell thermostats located in that room to control the heat.

There are also multiple Mitsubishi cooling systems that can be used for air conditioning. To control the systems, use the remotes located in each respective room (each remote is labeled on the back for easy reference). In order for the cooling to work, ALL remotes in the house must be set to Cool.

The basement utilizes its own separate heating/cooling system and can be controlled via the two remotes located on the wall of the game room and the bedroom.

Please feel free to set the thermostat to your comfort level. We would appreciate if the heating maximum is set to 75°F and the cooling minimum to 67°F.

RADIANT HEAT (HEATED FLOORS)

The Lodge has radiant heating in the floors of the entry room, kitchen and master bathroom. The radiant heat can be turned on/off and the temperature controlled via the thermostat located on the wall of each respective room.

TV / ROKUs

All TVs located in the Lodge are equipped with Rokus so you can enjoy streaming entertainment. Please be sure to log out of your accounts before checking out.

HOUSE SPEAKER

There is a Marshall speaker provided for your music enjoyment. Please be sure the speaker and cable are accounted for and left in its original place before leaving.

PANTRY / LAUNDRY ROOM

There is a door from the kitchen that leads to the pantry/laundry room. There is a washer/dryer available for you to use. You will also find other useful items such as an array of kitchen appliances, an ironing board, high chair, extra necessities, and dry pantry items.

BOARD GAMES

There are a variety of board games available for you to enjoy during your stay. They are located in the bins in the living room, cabinet in the upstairs common area (next to the chess table), and on the basement shelf.

CREEK & TREE HOUSE

We have a small beautiful creek located behind the house. While there are two access points, we recommend you take the one on the other side of the field towards the mountain and not take the stairs behind the house as it is very steep.

While we have a small tree house in the back, it is not structurally sound anymore so it is off limits to guests - we hope to have it repaired in the future.

GARBAGE

If you'd like to take garbage out during your stay, the garbage bin is located at the right side of the entrance outside the Lodge. Please be sure to bag all trash and latch the bins securely so that bears cannot get to them.

BREAKAGES AND REPAIRS

Please report any breakages or items in need of repair as soon as they are known.

CHECK OUT LIST

Please review the Check-Out list upon departure. This list will help you to know what to do with dirty linens, towels, garbage, and thermostats to ensure a smooth check-out and end of a hopefully wonderful vacation.
